About Dale Ferrell
Field inspection is what I want to do long-term, and loss control is the direction I’m headed. I haven’t run a commercial survey yet, so I’m applying for the certifications and the background behind them. I finished the VIITA Basic Personal Lines Inspector course on August 11, 202,6 and the Basic Commercial Lines course on August 30. I’m in the field now, though on the mortgage side. Since Apr, il I’ve contracted with National Mortgage Field Services and Sand Castle Services across four metro Atlanta counties, running 15 to 30 inspections a week — occupancy verifications, exterior condition inspections on occupied properties, and interiors on vacant ones. Before real estate, I spent a decade in hospitality, where I owned and operated a restaurant, directed operations for a nightclub, and helped operate a catering company. I know how both the front and back of the house are set up and run, from commercial kitchen equipment and hood systems to walk-in coolers, electrical and water heater installations, storage,e and egress. Health inspections and code enforcement came with all three. I have the coursework and the weekly volume. What I’m after is the loss control reps.
