I started working in the insurance industry in 2001 as an agent for Farmers Insurance in Indiana, later moving to San Antonio in 2006 to open my own Farmers franchise. The agency was in operation from 2006 to 2012. During the operations of the agency and inspecting properties, a knack was developed for field inspections working directly with the underwriters. In 2012, I moved temporarily to Miami to start working wind mitigation reports with an adjusters license for a local carrier to gain the experience. Finally, in 2013, I was fortunate and blessed to have been found by excellent companies and their agents and moved back home.
